- Diversify – Diversify do not put all your eggs in one basket. Promote products from different merchants. I would like to be cautious though on this one. There is absolutely nothing wrong with promoting a different kind of merchants.
- Persistence – Do not give up, results take time to start showing. But when they do and believe me they will. You will reap the rewards. That is why it is important to write about, what flows naturally from you. Affiliate marketing should be a long-term business and not a get-rich-quick business.
- Stay Relevant – Ensure that you market products that are relevant to your niche. If you have to market using your own web site ensure that you write articles that have no time limit. In other words write content that is timeless.
- Patience – As I said before affiliate marketing is not a get rich quick business. You will need to be patient. As an old saying goes that patience is a virtue please develop it. I would liken affiliate marketing to women.
- Knowledge is Vital – There is no way you will succeed in anything without knowledge. The key to acquiring knowledge is to read, read, read, and read. Take notes and review them every once in a while. I would like to encourage you to start reading especially topics that relate to your niche. This is the only way you will get to know your niche even better and improve your marketing skills.
